Blackstone School of Law is proud to launch its popular Bar Transfer Course now online for lawyers all around Pakistan and other Common Law Jurisdictions like India, Bangladesh, Scotland, South Africa etc.
Now you can become a barrister while practising and studying in your home country (exams and dinners will be held in London at the BPP University and Lincoln Inn, respectively).
What is Bar Transfer Course?
Blackstone School of Law launched the Bar Transfer Course (BTC) in September 2018 to provide access to practising lawyers to the Barrister pathway. With our low-cost program, any lawyer can now become a Barrister while practising in their home country. So far, more than 200 students from Pakistan, the UK, UAE, and Ireland have taken the course with us, and our students have a 100 per cent success rate in getting exemptions for major exams. Typically, our students only have to appear for exams of 4-5 subjects. We have BTC students from the Lower courts, High court and Supreme court. More than 50 students have already become Barristers, out of which eight students received their full exemptions from the exams based on their exemplary practice. In addition, around 100 students are in the process of clearing their exams and attending dinners at the Honorable Lincoln's Inn.

Pay Less for More
The Bar-at-Law programme completed in the UK is expensive and out of reach for many of us. Also, in common law countries, the prestige of becoming a Barrister has been inaccessible for our local lawyers who have to do extra programmes to get there. Becoming a Barrister is accessible to local lawyers through our BTC programme. They can also become Barristers without any additional programmes such as GDL.
Bar Transfer Course Fee and Cost
November 2022 Session: Monthly instalments of $790: The students will pay three instalments of $790/month as tuition fees to Blackstone School of Law & Business LP. The total tuition fee for the course is $2370. The student will sit for the Bar exams in August 2023.
February 2023 Session: Monthly instalments of $395: The students will pay six instalments of $395/month as tuition fees to Blackstone School of Law & Business LP. The total tuition fee for the course is $2370. The student will sit for the Bar exams in March 2024.

Lincolns Inn Membership - £115
Examination fee - £4000 (This fee may be exempted for experienced candidates if they receive a full exemption for their exams by the BSB board.)
Call to the Bar fee - £115
Visa fee - Based on country of residence. Normally a nominal fee.
