Program Structure

  1. First 2 Years in Pakistan: The programme begins with the first two years of study at Blackstone, an accredited City & Guilds centre. This initial phase is meticulously designed to cover the curriculum of the first two years of a UK Medical Sciences undergraduate degree. Alongside foundational medical courses and clinical experience, it includes tailored preparation for medical entrance exams.

Studying in Pakistan offers the advantage of a familiar cultural and educational environment, making the initial, often challenging, steps of your medical education more accessible and affordable. The cost for the first two foundational years is £5,300 per year. The fee is directly payable to Blackstone International Teaching Center.

  2. 6-month Bridging Course: Upon successful completion of your first two years, you then directly progress to a 6-month conversion course to attain a BSc Medical Sciences from the University of Surrey. This phase builds upon your foundational knowledge, immersing you in advanced medical sciences, research methodologies, and clinical practices.

The curriculum is designed to seamlessly integrate into the UK's medical education system, preparing you for the rigours of graduate medical programmes. Note that the Bsc Medical Sciences is an exit degree. Graduates of the BSc Medical Sciences will be skilled to work in medical sciences careers, or be eligible to apply – subject to meeting entry requirements – for further study, for example for the University of Surrey’s Physician Associate programme or Surrey’s new, graduate-entry, medicine programme or graduate-entry programmes at other partner medical universities in the UK. The cost for the conversion course with the University of Surrey is £8,000 plus £1,500 pounds for Blackstone institutional fee.

  3. 4-year Graduate Entry into Partner Medical Universities in the UK:

Upon completion of the BSc Medical Sciences from the University of Surrey, advance — subject to meeting entry requirements — into the 4-year graduate entry medical programme at a partner UK medical university. This phase marks the culmination of your thorough preparation, fully immersing you in the clinical and practical aspects of medicine.

The graduate entry programme features an intense, hands-on approach, designed for those who have already acquired a solid foundation in medical sciences. It accelerates your journey to becoming a medical doctor, focusing on patient care, advanced medical procedures, and in-depth clinical rotations across various specialties.

Studying in the UK, renowned for its excellence in medical education and research, offers exposure to cutting-edge medical technologies, diverse patient populations, and some of the world's most respected medical doctors. This stage is crucial for moulding competent, compassionate, and globally-minded medical doctors ready to contribute to healthcare systems worldwide. MBBS costs in the UK are around £45,000 to £50,000 annually.
